CUI Helpdesk ("we", "our", or "us") operates the CUI Helpdesk mobile application. This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Application and the choices you have associated with that data.

1. Information Collection and Use

We collect several types of information to provide, maintain, and improve our services for campus students and faculty members.

Types of Data Collected:

• Personal Data: Email address, Full Name, Department, Student/Faculty ID, and assigned Role (User/Faculty/Admin).
• Booking & Service Requests: Room/Lab booking dates, timing slots, target departments, and reason for booking.
• Support & Communication: Feedback messages, chat history with support administrators, and inquiry tickets.
• Device & Usage Data: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens used for sending live push notifications.

2. How We Use Your Data

CUI Helpdesk uses the collected data for the following essential purposes:

• To provide and maintain app functionality, timetables, and user accounts.
• To process room/lab booking requests and route approvals to designated Department Heads (HODs).
• To deliver instant push notifications regarding booking statuses, campus notices, and helpdesk chat replies.
• To provide responsive customer support and resolve user inquiries.

3. Data Protection & Security

The security of your data is paramount to us. All network communications are encrypted in transit using industry-standard SSL/HTTPS protocols. User authentication and database records are managed securely via Google Firebase Authentication and Firestore infrastructure.

4. Third-Party Services

We utilize trusted third-party services to ensure reliable app operation:

• Google Firebase: For user authentication, cloud database storage, and push notifications (FCM).
• EmailJS: For delivering automated email notifications to campus HODs.

We do NOT sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third-party advertisers or marketing agencies.

5. Account Deletion & User Rights

Users have the right to access, update, or request the deletion of their personal information at any time. If you wish to delete your account or stored data history, please contact our support team.
